Moab Workload Manager possesses the concept of Resource Managers (RMs). While plugins can be related to RMs, they often provide greater functionality and serve more purposes than a typical RM. MWS must be represented in Moab as a RM to enable certain plugin features such as state reporting and handling RM events.
