5.2.5 Configuring the Migration Exclusion policy

Viewpoint allows you to modify the settings of the Migration Exclusion policy, which specifies which VMs and hypervisors to exclude from all automatic live migration policies.

Changes to the Migration Exclusion policy will do appear immediately. Expect a delay before they take effect.

To configure the Migration Exclusion policy

1. If it is not already turned on, turn on the policy (see Turning Policies On and Off).
2. Add any hypervisors to be excluded from migration policies by clicking the Add button beneath the Hypervisors heading. Begin typing the name of the hypervisor and select it from the list that appears. To remove it, click the red X. To add another, click Add again and repeat the process.
3. Add any virtual machines to be excluded from migration policies by clicking the Add button beneath the Virtual Machines heading. Begin typing the name of the VM and select it from the list that appears. To remove it, click the red X. To add another VM, click Add again and repeat the process.

4. Click Save.
