The navigation menu bar in Viewpoint lets you easily get to the page you want to see. This navigation menu is fixed at the top of every page in Viewpoint so that you can easily navigate to where you want to go from anywhere. For a list of default navigation links, see Menu navigation.
If the logged-in user does not have permissions to access a particular page, the navigation link will not appear in the menu. If a user tries to access a page (by entering a URL) that he/she does not have permissions to see, Viewpoint displays the following error message: "The page you requested could not be found by the server or you do not have the permissions necessary to view this page. Please contact your administrator for help."
Likewise, if a user tries to navigate to a page that does not exist in Viewpoint, the system displays this error message: "The page you requested could not be found by the server. Please contact your administrator for help."
You can also use Homepage gadgets to navigate to certain pages in Viewpoint. For more information, see Using Homepage gadgets.
