An image is used to track the different types of operating systems and hypervisors available in a data center. It also tracks the virtual machines that are available on the hypervisors. In Viewpoint, you can create and manage Moab images and then make them available to users through service templates. (For more information, see About service template management.)
The images you create must be supported by your provisioning resource manager (for example, xCAT). See your provisioning resource manager configuration for more information.
