Reprovisioning nodes
From the Node Management page, you can reprovision your nodes with different images. These steps explain how this is to be done.
Reprovisioning a node will remove any workload that is currently running on the node you reprovision. Make sure that you manually clean off all workload you do not want to lose before you reprovision a node.
To reprovision a node
- Go to the Node Management page (Datacenter > Node Management). For details, see Fields: Node Management.
- Identify the node in the list that you want to reprovision. (You can search, sort, and page to find the node you are looking for. For more information, see Searching, sorting, and filtering nodes.)
- Select the node(s), and choose Reprovision.
- Select the image you want to use from the Image drop-down.
- Choose Reprovision to reprovision the node.
A window appears and prompts you to choose which image you want to reprovision the node with.
The drop-down is populated with image information that is pulled both from MWS and Moab. If you do not see any images in the drop-down, you must manually create the image in Viewpoint. (For more information, see About image management.)
A confirmation statement appears and tells you if your request to reprovision the node was submitted successfully or not.
