Changing the super user password

Context

The super user has all available Viewpoint permissions. This means that the super user has rights to access every page and to perform every function within Viewpoint. Viewpoint is delivered with the default "moab-admin"/"changeme!" username and password login credentials for the super user.

As administrators, you will want to change the super user password once you have installed Viewpoint. The following instructions explain how you can set new login password for the super user.

To change the super user password

  1. As the super user logging in for the first time (with the default "moab-admin"/"changeme!" username and password login credentials), or as an administrator with Viewpoint configuration privileges, go to the Configuration page and choose the Super User Password option (Administration > Configuration). For more information, see Fields: Configuration Overview.

    2. The Super User Password form appears.

  2. Complete the fields, as necessary. For details, see Fields: Super User Password.
  3. When you are finished, choose Update to save your changes.

Next time you log in to Viewpoint as the super user, use the new password you have just specified.
