Setting node feature tags

Managing feature tags from the Node Management page

To manage feature tags from the Node Management page

  1. Go to the Node Management page (Cluster > Node Management). For more information, see Fields: Node Management.
  2. Identify the node in the list for which you would like to modify the feature tags. (You can search, sort, and page to find the node you are looking for. For more information, see Searching, sorting, and filtering nodes.)
  3. Select the node, and click the Features button.
  4. The Add or remove features window opens.
  5. Only configurable features added to this node (if any) will appear in this window. The node may have additional reported features; however, because you cannot modify reported features through Viewpoint, they will not appear in this window.

  6. To remove an assigned feature, simply click the x for the feature you wish to remove.
  7. To add a feature, begin typing the feature name. An auto-complete window appears as you type to help you find the feature you want. If you do not know the name of the feature you want to apply, you can press the down arrow key on your keyboard to see a list of all currently-existing configurable features. To create a new configurable feature, enter the unique name of the new feature (up to 256 characters), and press the Tab key. This new feature will be applied to the node and will be available to other nodes moving forward.
  8. You can add as many configurable feature tags to the node as you need.

  9. Click OK to save your changes or Cancel to close the window without saving.
  10. The Node Management page updates to reflect the feature tag changes on the node you modified.
