2.2.2 Requesting a custom service

When you request a service, you can create your own custom service to request. You can customize your service parameters and storage requirements.

To request a custom service

  1. Navigate to the New Service page (New > Service).
  2. Choose Custom service.

  4. In the Name field, enter a name for the environment. This field is required.
  5. Select the Virtual machine tab.

  6. On this page, do the following:
    1. In the Operating Systems field, select an operating system for the VM.
    2. In the Image field, select an image for the VM. (The contents of this drop-down show only virtual machine images.)
    3. In the Processors field, specify the number of processors for the VM. The maximum number of processors you can have is 4.
    4. In the Memory field, specify the amount of memory for the VM. The maximum amount of RAM you can specify is 8 GB.
    5. In the Virtual Disk Size field, specify the amount of disk space for the VM. The maximum amount of disk space you can specify is 1000 GB.
    6. If you want to add storage, do the following:
      • In the Mount field, specify a drive for storage.
      • In the Size field, specify the amount of space for the storage.
      • Click Add storage.
    7. Click Add virtual machine.
  7. Select the Physical machine tab.

  8. On this page, do the following:
    1. In the Operating System field, select an operating system for the physical machine.
    2. In the Image field, select an image for the physical machine. (The contents of this drop-down show only physical machine images.)
    3. In the Hardware Configuration field, specify the configuration of the physical machine.
    4. If you want to add storage, do the following:
      • In the Mount field, specify a drive for storage.
      • In the Size field, specify the amount of space for the storage.
      • Click Add storage.
    5. Click Add physical node.
  9. When you are finished, select Complete request.

Once you have added your service to the cart, you can click the Cart icon () to view all items in your cart on the Cart Details page. For more information, see Using the cart.
