The concept of removing a service two-fold: there is service termination, and there is service deletion. When you terminate a service, Moab stops the service and cleans the service environment; however the Moab does not delete the service ID. This means that when you terminate a service, you are, in essence, doing a soft delete of the service. Service deletion, on the other hand, removes the service entirely so that it no longer exists.
Deleting a service will immediately remove the service without cleaning up the environment.
From the Service Management page, you can remove a service. You can remove individual services, or container services. However, please be aware that any action you take on a container service also affects all the services within the container.
You can terminate services that are in the following service lifecycle phases (for more information, see Service lifecycle phases):
You can only delete services that are in the "Terminated" service lifecycle phase.
To terminate a service
When you terminate a container service, you also terminate all the services it contains.
When you choose Terminate, a confirmation message appears.
A message appears and tells you that the services were terminated successfully.
To delete a service
When you delete a container service, you also delete all the services it contains.
When you choose Delete, a confirmation message appears.
Deleting a service will immediately remove the service without cleaning up the environment.
A message appears and tells you that the services were deleted successfully.
