The Viewpoint Service Management page lets you view all your Moab services. This page displays all services in a list view. From this page, you can do the following:

Search filter drop-down

Lets you narrow your search to a specific field (Name, Tenant, Lifecycle phase, Status, or User).

Search bar (contains)

Lets you specify a term to search in the field (for example, a term that would appear in a service name). For more information, see Searching, sorting, and filtering services.

You should not use the ampersand (&) character in your search.

Filter by

Displays the filters applied to the services that appear in the list. By default, a filter is applied to show only root-level services.

If you select a value from the Date requested or Lifecycle phase fields, the filter is noted at the top of the Filter by section. Likewise, when you search on a specific field, the field value you selected appears in the section. For example, if you search by Name and enter "stack," the following appears:

To remove the filter on individual selected field values, click the remove icon () next to the filter you want to remove. To remove all filters so that all services appear in the list, choose Clear all filters.

Tip: To save a set of filters and specific sorting order for easy reuse, bookmark the Service Management page in your browser once you finish creating your filters.

Date requested

Lets you apply one of the following pre-determined date filter options to your list of services:

Option Description
Past 24 hours Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the services that have been requested in the past 24 hours to display.
Past 7 days Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the services that have been requested in the past seven days to display.
Past 30 days Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the services that have been requested in the past 30 days to display.

Lifecycle phase

Lets you apply one of the following pre-determined lifecycle phase filter options to your list of services:

Option Description
Analyzing Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "analyzing" lifecycle phase to display.
Blocked Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "blocked" lifecycle phase to display.
Cleaning Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "cleaning" lifecycle phase to display.
Deployed Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "deployed" lifecycle phase to display.
Deploying Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "deploying" lifecycle phase to display.
Migrating Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "migrating" lifecycle phase to display.
Reserved Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "reserved" lifecycle phase to display.
Terminated Lets you apply a filter to the list that causes only the services in the "terminated" lifecycle phase to display.

Service hierarchy

Lets you apply a filter to display only root-level services, or to display component-level services.

Table of services

Displays a summary of Moab services. The following fields are displayed:

Services are attached to tenants. You will only be able to see services attached to tenants you belong to. For more information, see About tenant management.

Field Description
Name Displays the label of the service.
Tenant Displays the name of the tenant the service is attached to.
Lifecycle phase

Displays the current lifecycle phase of the service. The lifecycle phase will be one of the following:

  • Analyzing () – Moab is analyzing the service request. From the analyzing phase, the service can go to deploying or blocked.
  • Blocked () – Moab could not accept the request, and the serviced is blocked.
  • Cleaning () – Moab reached the end job, and the service is in a cleanup phase.
  • Deployed () – Moab finished deploying the service, and it is now deployed.
  • Deploying () – Moab has accepted the request, and it is currently deploying.
  • Migrating () – Moab is currently trying to migrate the service.
  • Reserved () - The service is scheduled to start at a later date/time.
  • Terminated () – The service was either finished after the cleaning state, or it has been manually terminated.

Status

Displays the state of the provisioning process. The status will be one of the following:

  • Deployed – The service started.
  • Deploying – The service is being prepared to start.
  • Service waiting to be deployed - The service is scheduled for future deployment.
  • Terminated – The service has been terminated. If you terminate a service, it remains in the Service Management table with this status until you delete it.
  • Terminating – The service is being terminated.
Date requested

Displays the date and time the service was requested.

For example: 2013-01-15 10:15:25 MST

User Displays the name of the user who owns the service.

You can resize and reorder the columns in the table.

  • To resize a column width, move your mouse to the center column border inside the column heading, then click and drag to where you want it to display.
  • To change the column order, click the column heading for the column you want to move, then drag it to where you want it to display.

From the table, you can select a service to view its details. You can also double-click a service to view its details. For more information, see Viewing service details.

Sort

Lets you sort the list of services by a particular field. Click the field once to sort in ascending alpha-numeric order. Click the field again to sort in descending order.

Page

Displays which page of results you are currently viewing (for example, "Page 3 of 14"). You can navigate between pages of services with the following options:

  • Change the number of services that display on a page.
  • Go directly to a page of results. (Specify the page number and hit the Enter button.)
  • Navigate forwards and backwards through the pages, one at a time.
  • Navigate directly to the first or last page of results.

New

Lets you request a new service from a service template. For more information, see Requesting a service from a template.

Details

Lets you view the details of the service you have selected from the list. You can also double-click a service to view its details. For more information, see Viewing service details.

This option is grayed out until you have selected a service.

Terminate

Lets you terminate the selected service(s). For more information, see Removing services.

This option only available on services in the "Analyzing," "Blocked," "Deploying," or "Deployed" lifecycle phase. For more information, see Removing services.

Delete

Lets you delete the selected service (or services). For more information, see Removing services.

When you delete a container service, you also delete all the services it contains.

You must select a service to delete it.

This option only available on services in the "Terminated," "Blocked," or "Rejected" lifecycle phase. For more information, see Removing services.

Refresh

Lets you refresh the list.
