The Service Template Management page displays a list of all top-level (container)
Search filter drop-down
Lets you narrow your search to a specific field (Name, Tenant, or Description). For more information, see Searching, sorting, and filtering service templates.
Search bar (contains)
Lets you specify a term to search in the list of service templates (for example, a term that would appear in a template name or description). For more information, see Searching, sorting, and filtering service templates.
You should not use the ampersand (&) character in your search.
Filter by
Displays the filters applied to the service templates that appear in the list.
If you select a value from the Date modified field, the filter is noted at the top of the Filter by section. Likewise, when you search on a specific field, the field value you selected appears in the section. For example, if you search by Name and enter "admin," the following appears:
To remove the filter on individual selected field values, click the remove icon () next to the filter you want to remove. To remove all filters so that all service templates appear in the list, choose Clear all filters.
Tip: To save a set of filters and specific sorting order for easy reuse, bookmark the Service Template Management page in your browser once you finish creating your filters.
Lets you apply one of the following pre-determined date filter options to your list of service templates:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Past 24 hours | Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the service templates that have been modified in the past 24 hours to display. |
Past 7 days | Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the service templates that have been modified in the past seven days to display. |
Past 30 days | Lets you apply a filter to the list that will cause only the service templates that have been modified in the past 30 days to display. |
List of service templates
Displays a summary of all the service templates that have already been created and saved to the catalog. The following sortable fields are displayed:
Service templates are attached to tenants. You will only be able to see service templates attached to tenants you belong to. For more information, see About tenant management.
Column | Description |

Name | Displays the name of the HP CSA service offering. |
Tenant |
Displays the name of the tenant the service template is attached to. |
Type | Displays the type of service template, for example: "container," "vm," "pm," or "storage." |
Last known update |
Displays the date and time of the last modification saved to the service template, in this format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (time zone), for example: "2013-01-17 14:14:02 MST" |
Description | Displays a text description applied to the service offering. |

You can resize and reorder the columns in the table.
From the table, you can select a service template to edit it. You can also double-click a service template to edit. For more information, see
Sort
Lets you sort the list of service templates by a particular field. Click the field once to sort in ascending alpha-numeric order. Click the field again to sort in descending order.

Page
Displays which page of results you are currently viewing (for example, "Page 3 of 14"). You can navigate between pages of service templates with the following options:
New
Lets you create a new service template (for details, see Creating a container template, Creating a virtual machine template, Creating a physical machine template, or Creating a storage template).
When you click the New button, Viewpoint takes you to the Create Service Template page and displays the Template properties tab (for details, see Fields: Template properties).
Edit
Lets you edit the service template configuration (for details, see Modifying existing service templates).
This option is grayed out until you have selected a template.
Delete
Lets you delete a selected template (for details, see Deleting service templates).
This option is grayed out until you have selected a template.
Refresh
Lets you refresh the list.
