Path: Services > Service Management > New > Create Service from Service Template > Request service
Service templates are created by administrators for you to use as a framework for requesting services. Administrators can construct a service template in a number of different ways, and because service templates are so customizable, there is no way to describe what exactly you will see on the Service Request page when you request a service from a template. If you have questions about what to do with any part of the form, please contact your administrator.
The following are some of the fields you may see on the New Service form.
Service Name
Lets you specify a name for the service you are requesting.
Request start time
Lets you specify a start date and time for the service by using a date-picker.
This field only appears if your administrators have chosen to include it in the container template form.
You select the start date and time by using a date-picker. For example:
If the date and time you request is unavailable, Viewpoint will notify you when you try to submit the service to the cart.
Physical Node
Lets you specify which node you want to use as your physical machine.
This field only appears if you are requesting a physical machine as part of the template.
The field opens a window with a list of possible nodes, their resources, etc. For example:

To select a node and choose Select and return.
Add to cart
Lets you add the service, as you have configured it, to your cart.
If all parts of the form have been completed correctly, you will be directed to the Card Details page to finish the service request. For more information, see Fields: Cart Details.
Clear all
Lets you clear all the field entries on the form.
